Transglobe Expedition 40th Anniversary. Celebration of the 40th anniversary of the setting out from Greenwich on the start of the only longitudinal circumnavigation of the world in history via both South and North Poles. Gill Reynolds joined the expedition support vessel Benjamin Bowring in 1982 on the Artic leg of the expedition, carrying out research on phytoplankton productivity in Arctic waters.

As part of the IMO-GEF-UNDP Global Maritime Energy Efficiency Partnership (GloMEEP) project, GL Reynolds have developed the content of one of three new guides, the Guide for Maritime Energy Efficiency Strategy Development, to assist the strategic planning process for implementing IMO-adopted mandatory energy-efficiency measures and improving shipping energy efficiency generally. The new guides were rolled out at a workshop held in Batumi, Georgia,

Gill Reynolds delivered an environmental workshop for Bumi Armada Berhad in Kuala Lumpur on behalf of IMarEST. The workshop addressed environmental issues and impact from the Offshore and Marine industries as well as global environmental requirements and future challenges in the Offshore and Marine industries. The workshop was a great success and attracted many questions and much discussion from the Bumi Armada staff and invited guests who attended.
